Information Collection & Use

Registration

Users are able to fully utilize the website, to browse and shop without registering with us.  Because we allow you to designate a non-profit organization to receive a percentage of your online purchases, we require that you first register with us in order to activate that feature. During the registration you are required to give us contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest including but not limited to updates on site features, special offers as well as timely updates on funds directed to your non-profit of choice. 

From time to time, you will have the option to provide demographic information to us; we encourage you to submit this information only so we can provide you a more personalized experience on our site.

alo novo, inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on alonovo.com.  alonovo.com collects personally identifiable information from our users at different points on our website, and those such instances and the usage and sharing policies around this information are described below.

Orders

Currently orders for products and services on our site are handled by third party shopping and service providers.  In providing you this service, alonovo.com does not collect any personally identifiable information during the shopping transaction.  In all instances you will be notified that you are no longer on our site and being directed to a third party site.  We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Surveys or Contests

From time to time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our site.  If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

We employ [or our third party advertising partner employs] a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective.  Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the navigation of content by the alonovo.com community.
